Wissahickon Skating Club is located in the Northwest section of the city of Philadelphia known as Chestnut Hill on West Willow Grove Ave. We are ¾ of a mile west of Germantown Avenue.
From Downtown or South Philadelphia
Take I76 W to exit 340A Lincoln Drive. Follow Lincoln Drive approximately
2.7 miles to the 8th traffic light. Turn left onto McAllum St and go over
a bridge. A little past the bridge, the road turns to the right and becomes
Mermaid Lane. Go about 100 yards on Mermaid and take the first left on
to Cherokee St. Go 2 blocks on Cherokee then turn right on to WILLOW GROVE
Avenue. The club is on the corner to your right. Our driveway entrance
is on WILLOW GROVE Avenue.
From the Main Line
Follow the Blue Route, I476 to Exit 8 Germantown Pike. As you exit you will
be on Chemical Road until it T’s off at Germantown Pike. Turn Right on
to Germantown Pike and follow 422 East towards Philadelphia approximately
5 miles to Chestnut Hill. Germantown Pike turns into Germantown Avenue
at this point. You will pass Chestnut Hill Hospital on your left and Germantown
Avenue turns into a cobblestone street at the 8600 block. Continue to the
8000 block where you will turn right on to WILLOW GROVE Avenue. There is
a traffic light on the corner of Germantown and WILLOW GROVE. Follow WILLOW
GROVE Avenue 7/10 of a mile. Our driveway will be on your left with a red,
white and blue sign at the entrance.
From Ft. Washington, Montgomeryville or the North
Take Route 309 South to the Paper Mill Road Exit. Turn Right on to Paper
Mill Rd. and go ¼ of a mile to the 2nd light. Turn Left on to Cheltenham
Avenue. Go 1 mile to the 1st light. Turn Right on to WILLOW GROVE Avenue.
Follow WILLOW GROVE Avenue 2.4 miles to Wissahickon Skating Club. Our driveway
will be on your left with a red, white and blue sign at the entrance.
From Northeast Philadelphia
Follow Cheltenham Avenue past Cedarbrook Mall and Easton Road to WILLOW GROVE
Ave. WILLOW GROVE is the 2nd light after Easton Road. Turn Left on to WILLOW
GROVE Avenue. Follow WILLOW GROVE Avenue 2.4 miles to Wissahickon Skating
Club. Our driveway will be on your left with a red, white and blue sign
at the entrance
